Published MuJoCo AR for Phone Teleopration

Open-sourced a MuJoCo plugin that enables the integration of ARKit data from a connected device to control MuJoCo frames in real-time. Accompanied with this is an iOS app that streams the ARKit data to the package.

Won comma.ai controls challenge

Won comma.ai's controls challenge for having the most interesting solution, where I implemented a DDPG reinforcement learning model to carry out a car trajectory tracking.

Awarded NYUAD's Alfred H. Bloom Scholarship

I was awarded NYU Abu Dhabi's Alfred H. Bloom Scholarship which is given to one third-year student every a year.

Paper Accepted to the International Conference on Advanced Robotics (ICAR '23)

Published my first paper to ICAR '23 titled "RCM-Constrained Manipulator Trajectory Tracking using Differential Kinematics". In this paper, we propose a framework for algorithmically controlling kinematically redundant manipulators while adhering to the RCM constraint imposed in minimally invasive surgeries.

3rd Place at the IEEExtreme Programming Competition 17.0

Placed 3rd across the United Arab Emirates at the IEEExtreme Programming Competition 16.0 after collecting 581 points - Participation Certificate

NYUAD 11th Hackathon for Social Good in the Arab World

During NYUAD's quantum computing hackathon, my team and I tackled the challenge of enhancing the reliability of energy grids through predictive maintenance. Our solution, called Tanabu, is an open-source Python package that employs quantum machine learning to boost predictive accuracy. By incorporating energy consumption patterns and climate data, Tanabu can proactively identify potential stress on energy grids and suggest optimal maintenance measures to mitigate the risks.

Engineering Ethics Trip to Jordan - Habitat for Humanity

Participated in the construction of a community service center as part of NYU Abu Dhabi's Engineering Ethics course trip to Ajloun, Jordan. The project was a collaboration between NYU Abu Dhabi and the non-governmental organization Habitat for Humanity.

Featured in NYUAD's Undergraduate Research Report for Summer 2021-2022

My Summer 2022 Research Project, KATIB, in the Applied Interactive Multimedia (AIM) Lab under Professor Eid, was featured in NYUAD's Undergraduate Research Report. We developed a range of serious games, targeting varying skills and adjustable levels of difficulty. The project was meant for both the academic and health sectors where schools and hospitals can implement it for students and post-stroke patients respectively.

4th Place at the IEEExtreme Programming Competition 16.0

Placed 4th across the United Arab Emirates at the IEEExtreme Programming Competition 16.0 after collecting 581 points - Participation Certificate

NYUAD 10th Hackathon for Social Good in the Arab World

Being my first non-remote hackathon, NYUAD 10th Hackathon for Social Good in the Arab World has set the bar high for my future ones. My team and I set out to find a problem that traditional computers can't solve efficiently and have it built on the Amazon brackets that qBraid provided us with. During the three-day hackathon, we worked on a project titled DelphiMed, which uses a Quantum Annealing optimization algorithm to decide which hospitals to assign patients to during a pandemic.

startAD Innovention Program

LEBSI was selected as one of the eight finalists for the startAD NYUAD Innovention 2022 program. I gained a wide range of skills through the two-month Innovention program that were instrumental to the development of my start-up LEBSI. The program culminated in a pitch competition where we applied the pitching skills we learned in the program to pitch start-ups to a professional panel.

CmPE Init Contest II

A one-day coding contest for NYUAD engineering students to work on a project focusing on object oriented programming. I spent the day working on the back-end of KATIB - Participation Certificate

hackNYUAD 2021 Hackathon

A 24-hour hackathon with the goal of finding ideas, solutions, and innovations to make the social life on the NYUAD campus better. I developed Seek NYUAD during this hackathon - Participation Certificate
